I was in an accident with an Encompass customer. The other driver was found 100% at fault. I was with out my car for 2 weeks. I spoke to the Encompass agent assigned to my claim and was told to go ahead and rent a car and give them the Encompass claim number. ...

Did you call the Encompass claims adjuster and fax them a copy of the bill? Unless the adjuster tells you they are unable to pay, I would not go off what the rental agency says. If the adjuster was unable to pay, they should explain why.

Encompass Insurance in Windsor Mill, Maryland - Never again

I owned two homes a car and figured I'd get a quote, and it was less than what I was paying at the time so I went for it. I was being CHEAP. And I paid for it, the quote increase AFTER the other policies were cancelled, and like the others stated, you went through it to terminate the policies. I was lucky enough that one of the cancellations hadn't gone through and i was able to pick that back up. I also received letters and call from collections about money I supposedly owed them. I wasn't able to terminate my own home owners insurance, and due to my laziness it been two years of paying high premiums, I final found another insurance company and ask to terminate the policy in August, back to June, they wanted to see that I had insurance since June, this was given to them. My premiums of $800+ for the year and was paid in full when I got my refund it was for $326 now you tell me WHAT are they chargind f$500+ for three months. I questioned and still haven't gotten answers, at this time I going to the state insurance administration for help. If you are thinking about using them DON'T DO IT!

I had encompass insurance and paid about $67 a month. I have no negative marks on my driving record.

Now it went up to $92 a month.

A 35% increase from last year and their best excuse was "The state of MD agreed to this." The state agrees up to 12% increas...not 35%. What a way to punish their good drivers.

Encompass Insurance in West Chester, Pennsylvania - Encompass placed a civil claim on my person for absolutely no reason

I was recently reviewing my credit reports and Encompass Insurace filed a civil claim on me for the amount of $2,010 on 6/2008. I have no idea why and was never involved in an accident or anything that could potentially lead to a civil judgement. I called to inquire why and the specifics around the filing and they have absolutely no records. I faxed information over to their customer service department and they have not gotten back to me in over two weeks. Getting in touch with them and navigating through their customer service maze is a disgrace along with their entire business.

800-262-9262 opt 3 (for insd) gets you direct to an individual with min. wait time depending on call volume.

If it is in reference to an accident call the claims office. They should be able to look it up by claim #, your name, owner of the vehicle involved, your phone number, or an encompass policy.

Encompass Insurance Claim
My car was hit by a driver with Encompass Insurance. There was no dispute that the other driver was at fault. My car was a total loss. It should be a fairly straightforward claim - simply compensating me for the loss of my vehicle. Now, four months later, I still have...

If you're ever in an auto accident and the person responsible has Encompass Insurance, do yourself a favor. Pay your deductable and let your insurance company fight for you.

I made the mistake of thinking Encompass would do the right thing and boy was I wrong. I now need to take Encompass Insurance to small claims court for little things like a taxi to work because they wouldn't pay for a rental car.

BTW, Encompass is in bed with Enterprise Car Rentals. If you need a rental go through Enterprise and Encompass may have to pay retail.

Encompass intentially makes you wait. Make sure you tell them you are feeling pain, even if you're not. Whiplash can be painful two weeks after the accident but not immediately. Encompass Insurance will ask you to say your not hurt when you MAY be and they'll use that against you.

And (removed) from Encompass Insurance... *** YOU ***. I hope your crackhead babies die of AIDS.

Encompass Insurance Claim

Encompass Insurance - Encompass is meeting a poor rating at auto repairs.

It seems that when I had need to have my windshield replaced under the "full glass" coverage I met with a few snags. The original place I went to have my windshield replaced clarified that they have consistant issues with Encompass paying on time due to Encompass' use of third parties. He went ahead and tried pre-authorization. They said that it was fully covered, but the customer needs to pay out of pocket and then would be reimbersed. That's not what full glass coverage means in their policy. So my agent called, and got an internal Encompass number for the shop to call. First words out of Encompass' mouth... No. it is too expensive. This is a convertible Corvette. If installed incorrectly, and anything happens it would be more costly for them to pay all the medical bills for a substandard installation from a two bit glass shop.
