I am no longer a customer because of the crappy service from the selling agent. I was in process of shopping around and he just never got back to me with a quote. I never before was in the position of badgering an insurance salesman to get info on continuing my coverage. after several weeks I had no choice but to pick from the several new quotes I had gotten over the period of 2 days and he lost a customer. Our rates with Encompass have increased 31% between 2015 and 2017, and we have NEVER had a home or auto insurance claim from them or any other insurer we've used in the past. My husband was ticketed back in 2007 for speeding--but that's it! My husband and I switched to Encompass a little over a year ago. It had promise of great customer service, great roadside assistance, and affordable premiums. While we do believe that the cost was affordable when it came down to the importance of needing insurance (filing a claim and getting assistance) everything went to ***! Try and get insurance for a vehicle after your agent closes, tough luck. Need to buy a vehicle over the weekend, when most vehicles are purchased, tough luck. You can not get through to anyone other than the agents who are closed after 5PM weekdays and not open on weekends. The only insurance company that does not have a main number that an operator can handle after hours changes. Next time try Geico, Allstate, Statefarm(Jake), Progressive, or... Read more

This is the worst company ever.. do not.. I repeat do not use them for homeowners insurance!! I had a fire over a year ago and they are still fighting the claim. Now my home has been vandalized and it's my fault! I cannot wait until this fiasco is over to get a new company!! Save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere!!

Rude service that won't cooperate with people. Use raisist slang and really prefer to harm people. Will overcharge and hang up on people. If your in the insident you wont get that money back.

No one seem to know why i have such a large policy increase. I've been a very good policy holder for 31 years. I've never missed a payment or had my insurance expire. For 2015-2016 my premium was $4224.00 @ $357.60 per month. The premium i received for 2016-2017 is $8736.00 @ $799.20 per month. I really need help with this situation. Encompass tells me my policy is canceled for leaves in garage gutter, when in fact there are none regardless. I have paid yearly premiums in full since 2004 with never a claim. They supposedly sent an 'inspector' whom I never saw, and a survey to complete, which I never got.
